Screen Artists Co-op is housed in a fully equipped film studio in beautiful Asheville, NC. Our mission is to support and develop successful Film Acting Careers along with a committed Community dedicated to refining their craft. The Co-op Concept creates a full circle of empowerment for Screen Actors in the Southeast Region.
Our Story
The late, Jon Menick opened Screen Artists Co-Op in 2011 (in the Story Point Media studio). His goal was to share the skills he acquired as a professional screen actor in NY & L.A. with those who wished to take advantage of the burgeoning Film & TV Industry in the Southeast Region. Starting with just 16 students, the Co-Op has grown into a bustling center where actors with and without agency representation train and act in projects simultaneously. It is our mission to continue to provide the unique vision and contribution that Jon so selflessly championed!
