Rae Becka is an actor with a passion for the challenges of film, TV & Theatre. A member of Actors Equity, on stage Rae has explored roles ranging from Harper in Angels in America (Parts 1 & 2) to Constanze in Amadeus. Most recently she took the stage as Henrietta Leavett in immediate theatre project’s production of Silent Sky. Rae was a founding member of the The Redundant Theatre Company Theatre, which created and performed eight original plays before disbanding in 2015.
Rae has had co-starring roles on Hulu’s The Act, Fox's Sleepy Hollow and Lifetime's Drop Dead Diva; her best news pundit voice was featured on an episode of Netflix’s House of Cards. She has done time on true crime dramas Dead Silent, Swamp Murders, Fatal Attraction and Your Worst Nightmare.
Among many others, Rae can be seen in these indie films streaming on Amazon: Zach Clark’s Little Sister with Ally Sheedy and Addison Timwell, Matthew Brown’s Maine with Laia Costa and Thomas Mann and Polly Schattel’s Quiet River (for which she was nominated for Best Lead Performer at the 2015 Orlando Film Festival and Lead Actress at the 2016 Madrid International Film Festival.)
Rae has also worn the director’s hat a handful of times, assistant directing itp’s production of Well, The Pussy Grabber Plays, a 2019 fundraiser for OurVoice and itp’s 2018 regional touring production of Live from WVL Radio: It’s a Wonderful Life. Rae has taught acting and scene study to kids and adults and has been a student and mentor at Screen Artists Co-op since 2015 teaching scene study for film and co-mentoring Blocks & Fears, Image Streaming and Sense Streaming. Rae loves being a part of the SACtor tribe.
